Alexandria, VA – Urban Redeux, the eclectic shop that carries vintage and funky housewares, is moving into the Hollin Hall Village Shopping Center in September.

Owner Willow Wright is excited about the move. “The timing just fell into place,” she said. “Our current location [on Cooper Road] worked well for our first three years, but it was time to move on.” She had her eye on Hollin Hall for a while and was happy to reach an agreement with the property’s management.

Urban Redeux will take over the lower-level space at 7916 Fort Hunt Road. There is plenty of room for Wright to display and sell her always-changing collection of one-of-a-kind housewares not found elsewhere.

A lifelong collector and aficionado of the unique and antique, Wright’s eye tends toward the classic, the iconic, the fun, and the funky. She maintains an active and engaging presence on social media, highlighting her favorite finds along the way to give her fans and followers a heads-up on her inventory.

The addition of Urban Redeux to Hollin Hall expands the burgeoning small business options for neighborhood shoppers and diners, joining the likes of The Variety Store, Village Hardware, Redesign in a Day, Nature’s Nibbles, Top It Off, 529 Hollin Hall, and Studio K Collective. Restaurant options range from the fine casual dining of River Bend Bistro to authentic northern Italian cuisine at Via Veneto, with popular Chinese take-out at Hunan Manor and the gourmet delicatessen, Roseina’s.
