Mount Vernon Environmental Expo Returns to a Crowd

The National Park Service had a big display on native plants.

Alexandria, VA – Mount Vernon Supervisor Dan Storck held his fourth Environmental Expo at Fort Hunt Park recently in cooperation with the National Park Service, an event designed to combine learning with fun. From the looks of the happy crowd, that goal was reached. Attendees got to see reptiles, learn how to do solar cooking, visit with representatives of various environmental groups, and dance and sing on stage with Billy B. There were over 35 exhibits offering information and samples.
