Alexandria Police Department Makes Arrest in Rideshare Assault

Police lights with text saying ARRESTEDAlexandria, VA – On Sunday, July 28, 2024, the Alexandria Police Department arrested Ahmed Reshad Nasseri, a 33-year-old resident of Alexandria, on charges of aggravated sexual battery that occurred on July 19, 2024, in the 5000 block of Seminary Road.

Nasseri worked as a rideshare driver on the night of the incident and the victim was a passenger he picked up following their request for transportation. Anyone who may have been in the area and might have seen suspicious activity is asked to call APD Detective Abigail Fillinger at 703-746-6677, or the Alexandria Police non-emergency number at 703-746-4444. Callers can remain anonymous. This remains an active investigation.
