ALEXANDRIA, VA-Condé Nast Traveler is a renowned travel magazine, one of the top in the world. For the eighth year, Alexandria has been nominated for the publication’s Reders’ Choice Awards. The nomination category is “Cities.”

Since 2018, when the subcategory of “Best Small Cities” was created, Alexandria has been in the top five. Beginning in 2023, the city finished in the top three. Voters can help the Port City retain that ranking by voting this year.

Vote HERE by June 30.  The survey asks questions about your motivation for traveling.

“Your vote has a big impact and can help Alexandria move to the top of Condé Nast Traveler’s ‘Best Small Cities’ list, just as our community’s votes have helped us secure a top five spot on the list for the past seven years,” reads an email released by Visit Alexandria this morning. “Consistent high-profile rankings in top national travel publications like Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, and Southern Living help solidify and elevate the city’s positioning as a top destination.”

Voters can also show support for the city’s many hotels in the “Hotels” category.

By taking part in the survey, you will have a chance to win an eight-day cruise on the Rhine with Viking Cruises. Ports of call include Amsterdam, Cologne, and Basel.
