Celebrating 20 Years of Healing Through Horses
Simple Changes gala to feature live music, auctions, and community spirit

Alexandria, VA – Simple Changes, the local nonprofit dedicated to improving lives through equine-assisted activities, is celebrating 20 years of service with a special gala on Saturday, November 1, at the Springfield Golf & Country Club.
The evening will feature live music by the Satin Doll Trio+, exciting games of chance, both live and silent auctions, and a variety of delicious food and drinks. Guests can purchase tickets or become sponsors at www.simplechanges.org.
Founded in 2005, Simple Changes offers a wide range of equine-assisted programs, including therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy led by licensed therapists, and unmounted equine-assisted learning and psychotherapy. Operating on its scenic Mason Neck farm, the organization provides a welcoming environment where participants of all ages and abilities can experience the joy and healing power of horses.
Because Simple Changes is committed to making equine-assisted activities accessible to as many community members as possible, participants pay only half the actual cost of each lesson. The remaining costs are covered through donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all contributions are tax-deductible.
“This anniversary is about celebrating two decades of joy, healing, and adventure with horses,” said Executive Director Corliss Wallingford. “We are excited to bring the community together for a night of fun while ensuring Simple Changes can continue to thrive for the next 20 years.”
