ALEXANDRIA, VA – What better way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary than by running a course along the Potomac River with George Washington’s Mansion waiting at the finish line?

The 11th annual George Washington Patriot Run returns to Mount Vernon on Sunday, Sept. 13, offering runners of all levels the choice of a 10-mile race or 5K. And with registration prices increasing Aug. 17, runners have just days left to save $10.

The race offers a unique combination of fitness, community and American history as participants run along a closed section of the George Washington Memorial Parkway before finishing with Washington’s iconic Mount Vernon estate in view.

Could there be a more memorable backdrop for your next race?
