Taste for Alexandria May Be Bigger and Better Than Ever

Trademarked “the most socially-distanced fun you will have all November,” the Alexandria Rotary Club Foundation’s 14th Annual Taste for Giving promises fun and food like never before.

Enjoy an interactive Taste of Alexandria from your own home this year.

Alexandria, VA – Along the lines of “if Mohammed can’t come to the mountain, then the mountain must go to Mohammed,” the Alexandria Rotary Club has thought outside the ballroom and buffet table samplings of yesteryear to a brand new model they hope will still garner the charity dollars they count on at their biggest fundraiser of the year.

Trademarked “the most socially-distanced fun you will have all November,” the Alexandria Rotary Club Foundation’s 14th Annual Taste for Giving on Nov. 14 promises fun and food like never before.

“Diners will enjoy an innovative interactive social culinary event from the comfort and safety of their home,” says Mike Wicks. “They will get a four or five course gourmet meal prepared for each member of your party an delivered to your home.”

And each member of the party can receive their meal from different restaurants so the tradition of a tasting event can continue. At press tme, the restaurants on the list include Riverbend Bistro, Nando’s, Tempo, Trademark Drink and Eat, Dishes of India, Hard Times Café, Redrocks Bistro and Cedar Knoll.

In addition to the food, everyone will tune into the virtual feed together for music from the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, a live auction, trivia game and more. Tickets are $125 each, $225 for a couple and $375 for a party of four. Visit alexandriarotary.com/taste-for-giving-2020 for tickets and more information.
