Freshman at SSSAS Makes All-State Band

Isaac Ahdoot, a ninth grade student at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School, made the All-State Band and placed fifth chair overall! He was selected to audition for the All-State Band after placing first in our district. Not only did Isaac travel to the state auditions held at James Madison University on February 25 as a SSSAS student representative, but as the district’s representative as well. Out of the 120 top clarinet players in Virginia, Isaac placed fifth!

Upper School Music Teacher Vaughn Ambrose said, “This is an amazing feat for anyone and especially for a freshman auditioning for the first time. We have not had a student make All-State Band in 13 years. Isaac did an incredible job!”
