Bishop Ireton’s Girls Cross Country Team Wins First State Championship in Almost Two Decades
Alexandria, VA – On Wednesday, October 23, the Bishop Ireton Girls Varsity Cross Country Team won their first State Championship in 19 years. The Cross Country win was for the State Catholic Championship.
“Wednesday’s race was the culmination of many weeks of hard work and preparation,” said Head Coach Brad Byrnes. “As their coach, I’m so happy for them to win as they’ve come so close over the past few years. This victory was well earned and our ladies deserve it!”
