Alexandria, VA – A cozy new gathering spot is coming to Queen Street as local entrepreneur Ksenia M. Varakina prepares to open Cherry On Top, a coffee and wine bar designed to offer a relaxed, upscale experience. The concept blends the best of both worlds—morning espresso and evening wine—alongside a curated selection of pastries, cheese boards, and light snacks.
Located at 1021 Queen St., the venue is aiming to be more than just a place to grab a drink. Plans include hosting intimate community events such as wine tastings and movie nights, making Cherry On Top a potential hub for neighbors and visitors alike.
The establishment will include a private outdoor terrace at the front of the property, measuring approximately 437 square feet. The terrace will accommodate 16 guests across eight tables, offering an inviting space for al fresco sipping and snacking. Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
As part of its concept, Cherry On Top intends to serve wine by the glass both indoors and on the terrace, pending final approval for on-premise alcohol service.
