Uber Testing Self-Driving Cars in Washington D.C.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -You might spot one of the three slow-moving Uber cars in Washington, D.C. after today, because according to Reuters, “Uber Technologies Inc (NYSE: UBER) will put self-driving vehicles on Washington, D.C. roads Friday with human drivers in control…as it seeks to collect data for future deployment of fully self-driving vehicles.”

The self-driving cars have humans at the wheel, a second Uber employee in the passenger seet, and the set maximum speed is 25 mph during the testing phase.

According to their report, Uber already has self-driving cars running in the Pittsburgh market during daylight hours
