Pamela L. Michell, New Hope Housing’s executive director for 23 years, received Leadership Fairfax’s Nonprofit Leadership Award at their November 7 awards luncheon. Christopher Fey, executive director of Homestretch, presented Michell with the award saying that her deep compassion for homeless families and individuals and her willingness to speak out and push for change has helped to shape policies and services in the community. New Hope Housing is an innovative, nonprofit agency providing shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, outreach and support services for homeless families and single adults in Fairfax County, the City of Alexandria, Arlington County and the City of Falls Church.
