ALEXANDRIA, VA – With the federal government shutdown affecting communities across the Washington, D.C. region, Alexandria is rolling out the welcome mat for visitors, federal employees, and locals alike. All attractions, restaurants, shops, and hotels remain open and operating as usual, and Visit Alexandria has launched a dedicated resource to highlight the best ways to enjoy the city right now.

Free Key to the City Attraction Passes

To encourage exploration, D.C.-area hotel guests and federal employees can claim two free Alexandria Key to the City Attraction Passes (a $60+ value) at the Alexandria Visitor Center (221 King Street).

Each pass includes:
