Celebrate Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

The Alexandria Commission for Women, Department of Community and Human Services, and the T.C. Williams Department of Counseling are co-sponsoring the 26th Annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. The day starts with a kick-off breakfast at T.C. Williams High School Cafeteria on Thursday, April 25, at 8 a.m. Students from the high school and Minnie Howard Campus will be introduced to various career fields as they spend the day shadowing employees from different industries for the day.

The event, nationally-sponsored by the Ms. Foundation, initially focused on taking girls to work. In 2003, The event was opened up to provide the same opportunity to boys. The event not only encourages girls to consider their future career choices, but gives both girls and boys the opportunity to observe men and women in positions of leadership in the workplace and community.

T.C. Williams High School is located at 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302

T.C. Wiliams High School.
