ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria Library announced in its monthly newsletter that starting July 1, “permanent cardholders will have complementary direct access” to two of this country’s biggest newspapers. Patrons will gain free access to the online content of The Washington Post and The New York Times.

While the Library offered articles from both publications in the past, they have only been available through the Library’s database search. With the improved access, patrons will be able to read unlimited articles.

The newspaper websites can be accessed at all Alexandria Library branches or remotely. Simply input your 14-digit library card number on the Library’s website, then visit alexlibraryva.org/databases to enter the sites.

Want access but don’t have a library card? Sign up for one at alexlibraryva.org/library-card.
