Tales of Terror: Duncan Library Returns for a Haunted Weekend of Fright and Fun

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Something wickedly fun is returning to Del Ray. The Friends of Duncan Library and the Del Ray Citizens Association are once again transforming Duncan Library into a haunted maze of spooky sights and stories for Tales of Terror: Haunted Library 2025, a two-day community event filled with ghostly tours, eerie entertainment, and haunting surprises — all in support of Duncan Library.

Each year, the beloved neighborhood library becomes a house of horrors for a good cause. All proceeds help fund new books, programs, and special events for the community.
New This Year
- All-Ages Tours: Family-friendly fun (guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
- Age 16+ Tours: A darker, more chilling version for brave souls
- MVCS Spooky CaBOOse Photo Booth: Professional photos to capture the fright
- Mount Vernon Community School PTA Pumpkin Patch: Friday from 3–5 p.m. next to the library, featuring free crafts, carnival games, and pumpkin sales
All tours begin at the Mount Vernon Community School entrance of the library. Attendees should arrive 10 minutes before their ticketed time.
