Cadet Pessaud (Alexandria, VA) at Fork Union Military Academy Qualifies for State Debate Tournament

Fork Union Military Academy, announces that Cadet William Humphrey Pessaud, a member of the Debate Team at Fork Union Military Academy, has qualified to compete in the state tournament in March in the Student Congress category.

Students qualify to compete in the state championship by placing high enough individually in a qualifying meet. The state tournament is sponsored by the Virginia Catholic Forensic League and will be held on March 11, 2017 at Eastern View High School in Culpeper, Virginia. The top three finishers in each debate category will be eligible to compete in the national tournament.

Cadet Pessaud is the son of Mary Jane Pessaud of Alexandria, Virginia. He is a junior and has attended Fork Union Military Academy since August 2014.

Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Virginia, is a college preparatory military boarding school for young men in Grades 6 through 12 and postgraduates. Affiliated with the Baptist General Association of Virginia and open to those of all religious denominations, Fork Union was founded in 1898 and has a rich tradition promoting character, leadership, and scholarship.
