Del Ray Spring Studio Show and Sale , May 6

 

The Del Ray Spring Studio Sale and Show features a variety of fine art and crafts from eight Del Ray artists and their friends including carved and turned wood creations, fine jewelry, wood-fired pottery, turned pens, papier-mâché, upcycle bags, ceramic and glass mosaics, and more.

This year’s Show and Sale’s artists are: Nathan Imm, a third generation woodworker who makes lathe-turned creations in a variety of woods; Risa Hirao, an illustrator that creates objects where folk art meets Japanese sci fi; Johnny Hunt, who uses junkmail to create papier-mâché masks and sculptures; Felton Gilliam, turning pens and wine stoppers in exotic woods and stone; Maria Illingworth, an artist who uses glass, ceramics, and found objects to create beautiful and thought provoking mosaics; Jen Athanas, who creates purses, hats, and fashion accessories from recycled upcycled, vintage, and new materials; Diana Papazian, creator of jewelry and wearable arts consisting of mixed metals, enamel, gemstones, and pearls; Stephen Lally, woodfired stoneware and porcelain; and other artists.

The Del Ray Spring Studio Show and Sale is at the studio of Stephen Lally in the heart of Del Ray, 8 East Howell Ave., Alexandria, VA  22301.  The show is free, open to the public.
