Build Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop – Saturday, October 13

ALEXANDRIA, VA–Interested in living green and protecting the Chesapeake Bay? Rain barrels collect rain water and reduce erosion from your downspout and help you save money on your water bill! You can attach a hose to your rain barrel and use it to water your plants and flower beds. The City of Alexandria’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services (T&ES), Stormwater Management Division, in partnership with other regional governments and organizations working as the Northern Virginia Rain Barrel Program partners, invites residents to learn about water quality issues and build a rain barrel to take home after the workshop.

Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Alexandria Renew Environmental Center (1800 Limerick Street, Alexandria, VA 22314)

This workshop is being held in conjunction with AlexRenew’s Water Discovery Day. Stay after the workshop to attend the family friendly block party!

Classes fill up fast and registration is required, register online prior to the workshop.
