The Athenaeum welcomes Swing Gadjo, a gypsy jazz band that plays Belgian/French gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt’s world-famous tunes as well as wonderful pieces from the American Songbook. In either case, the music always swings and the melodies are haunting: you are welcome to hum along or get up and dance!
Swing Gadjo is composed of musicians from American and European backgrounds: founders and guitarists Matt Kramer and Armin Hadamer, with Jeff Becker on double bass, Nathalie Braux on clarinet, and Chris Curro on percussions.
