RENT BREAKS: Committed Affordable Units Available Now at Southern Towers on Seminary Road

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Here’s some good news in Alexandria’s affordable housing landscape. If your income falls within certain parameters, there are committed units set aside for you at Southern Towers at Seminary and Beauregard Roads.

Efficiency, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom committed affordable units are available now at Southern Towers Apartments at 4901 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA 22311.

Rents Start at $1169, Including Utilities

The 2019 rent for the efficiencies is $1,169, including utilities. The maximum annual household incomes are $46,750 (1-person household); $53,405 (2-person household); and $60,060 (3-person household). The minimum monthly income is equal to twice the monthly rent.

The 2019 rent for the one-bedroom units is $1,366, including utilities. The maximum annual household incomes are $51,000 (1-person household); $58,260 (2-person household); and $65,520 (3-person household). The minimum monthly income is equal to twice the monthly rent.

The 2019 rent for the two-bedroom units is $1,638, including utilities. The maximum annual household incomes are $58,260 (2-person household); $65,520 (3-person household); $72,780 (4-person household); and $78,660 (5-person household). The minimum monthly income is equal to twice the monthly rent.

The 2020 rents will be available in Spring 2020.

In addition, applicants will be required to pay a $50 application fee, a $300 move-in fee, and a $12 per month tenant insurance fee. Security deposits will vary from $100 to $400 depending on credit. Applicants can have a qualifying co-signer if the minimum annual income is not met.
