ALEXANDRIA, VA – Old Town Alexandria just got a whole lot sweeter.

Milk & Honey, the popular Southern-inspired brunch and comfort food concept from Thompson Restaurants, has officially opened its doors at 801 King Street. Taking over the former Hen Quarter space, the new restaurant is a vibrant addition to Alexandria’s dining scene—and it’s already turning heads.

The new location is Milk & Honey’s latest expansion in the DMV. Boasting two floors, two full bars, and seating for nearly 200 guests, the space is perfect as a  casual brunch spot, a lively cocktail hour, or a private event space. Milk & Honey Alexandria is designed to deliver.

The restaurant’s signature interior features dramatic lighting, plush banquettes, and a curated selection of locally sourced cultural artwork, assembled by D.C.-based art collective Artbae. Guests can purchase the displayed art pieces, adding another layer of local charm and creativity to the dining experience.

Milk & Honey’s menu is a celebration of Southern indulgence. Among the top dishes are the famous Pan-Seared Salmon + Grits, Deviled Eggs, Carolina Low Country Gumbo, Jerk Lamb Chops, and the fan-favorite Chicken and Biscoff Waffles. Brunch-goers will also find creative spins on classics, like Cheesecake Pancakes, towering sandwiches, fresh salads, decadent desserts, and handcrafted cocktails.
