Alexandria’s Commonwealth’s Attorney Wants Residents to Join Advisory Board

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria’s Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is seeking candidates to join the new Community Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB will consist of five to ten members. Spots are open to people who live or work in the City of Alexandria.

The CAB’s purpose is to provide Commonwealth’s Attorney Bryan Porter “with diverse community input and ideas regarding criminal justice reform, and strategies for addressing criminal activity,” according to the application webpage.

Interested in joining? The submission deadline is Friday, August 28 at 5 p.m.

The first meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m. It will be held virtually because of the pandemic.
