Alexandria Nonprofit Holds Online Art Auction to Fund Cancer Screenings and Treatments

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Founded in 1999,  Nueva Vida, Inc is an Alexandria cancer support network for Latinas who have cancer, have survived it, and their loved ones affected by the illness. On Nov. 30, the nonprofit launched its second online art auction called VIDART. It will run through Dec. 13.

The purpose of the silent auction is to raise funding for life-saving screenings and treatments. The group provides free cancer-related services in the DC metro area and Baltimore. Every year, their programs provide screenings for approximately 1,444 Latinas and 300 diagnostic exams for clients. They also sponsor a psychosocial support group aimed at improving quality of life for all clients
