ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria Restaurant Week has been a hit in years past. As The Zebra reported five days ago, the summer edition returns Aug. 19. Spanning a period of ten days and two weekends, roughly 70 restaurants have signed on to participate. Earlier today (Aug. 1), Visit Alexandria, the city’s tourim bureau, unveiled the online menu flip book.

In addition, there are new pricing tiers, which cover a wide range of offerings from casual to fine dining. This includes prix fixe dinners for one at $25, $35, and $45.

Restaurant Week will take place in neighbords throughout Alexandria, such as Old Town, Del Ray, Carlyle, Eisenhower, and the West End. Participants include Aldo’s Italian Kitchen, Cheesetique, Hard Times Cafe, The Study, and RT’s.

Visit Alexandria lauched Alexandria Restaurant Week in 2009. A biannual event in the summer and winter, its goal is to support the city’s restaurants and promote the area to tourists and residents as a “culinary destination,” according to a Visit Alexandria press release.
