ALEXANDRIA, VA – With Israeli influence, Boston roots and a growing presence in the DMV region, Tatte Bakery & Café is expanding its footprint to Alexandria. As reported by the Washington Business Journal, the business is slated to move into the former SunTrust bank branch at 515 King Street in Old Town.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe was founded by Tzurit Or, a former film producer and self-taught pastry chef who started the business from her home kitchen fifteen years ago. As an immigrant to the United States, her tasty creations were a means for her to build community.

We hope the fantastic brunch menu (which includes gluten-free options) being served in the DC locations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is included once the Alexandria outpost opens. We’ll share the grand opening date as soon as it’s announced.
