“I am excited to welcome Dr. Guy as our next principal. He has demonstrated a commitment, not only to Catholic education, but to the unique Salesian charism that makes Bishop Ireton special,” said Head of School Kathleen McNutt.” We have been blessed by his dedication as a faculty member, department chair and key member of the Reopening Task Force during the pandemic.”

The appointment comes as BI plans to expand its academic programs and STEM focus.

“Being a part of the Bishop Ireton community as a teacher has been a true blessing, and I am delighted to be selected as the next principal,” Guy said. “I am humbled by the trust and responsibility imparted upon me by the search committee, […] Kathleen McNutt, the Office of Catholic Schools, and Bishop Burbidge.

“I am grateful to Principal Denise Tobin for her years of service and aspire to continue to work with the community, colleagues and students to facilitate Bishop Ireton’s mission to Advance Always.”
