Alexandria, VA – It took a mighty sweet team at Just Fine Donuts to make and deliver 3,500 donuts in one day.
Russell Gravatt, who owns the vegan donut shop at 2310 Mount Vernon Avenue, remarked on his Facebook page, “It’s pretty funny when the retired chief is driving around with 3,500 Donuts in his car,” referring to Dana Lawhorne, the former Alexandria Sheriff.
The order was for Bishop Ireton High School, the Catholic high school at 201 Cambridge Road, celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Just Fine Donuts is in the same building as the award-winning Dairy Godmother, a treat shop specializing in Wisconsin-style frozen custard. Gravatt started frying donuts there in the summer of 2021. The donuts are fresh, made daily in-house, and are vegan, meaning they contain no eggs or dairy. There are cake and yeast varieties, as well as donut holes available.
