ALEXANDRIA, VA-This holiday season DASH is giving back. On Thursday, Dec. 12, the Alexandria Transit Company is hosting the first Winter Wonderland & Holiday Market. The event, scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ramsey Rec Center (5650 Sanger Ave.), will include interactive activities for children (i.e., craft workshops) and a chance to buy homemade gifts from local artists for everyone on your shopping list.

While there, take advantage of the opportunity to sample festive treats from around the world: buñuelos, gingerbread, and samosas, to name a few.

DASH is also conducting the DASH for Good fundraiser this year. It benefits ALIVE!, Carpenter’s Shelter, and Casa Chirilagua. Each organization will have a table at Thursday’s event. Stop by and learn more about the work they do that helps so many in our community.

A GoFundMe campaign is active now. To donate, click HERE. The goal is $6,000.

DASH is asking everyone to take public transportation  to the Winter Wonderland & Holiday Market. The closest DASH bus stop to the venue is the N Beauregard St & Sanger Ave. stop on Line 35, running between the Van Dorn and the Pentagon Metro Stations.
