Nominate the Next Class of the ACPS Athletic Hall of Fame

Deadline is Jan. 31. Enshrinement ceremony Oct. 11

ALEXANDRIA, VA-Did you go to ACPS and have a classmate who was part of a sports team? Did he or she accomplish incredible things both on and off the field? The nomination period is now open for the 2025 inductees of the ACPS Athletic Hall of Fame. Submit a nomination by Jan. 31 for that individual you believe is worthy of enshrinement.

Nominations fall under four categories:

1) Athletic nominees are considered based on high school athletic accomplishments, character, and leadership;

2) Team nominees are considered based on accomplishments at the state level, contributions to the ACPS athletic/school climate, and good citizenship and community service;

3) Coaches/administrator nominees are considered based on their win-loss record at ACPS, accomplishments throughout their career. and their impact on the athletic program;

4) Community contributor nominees will be considered for their impact on ACPS athletics.

Please note that athletes are eligible five years after their graduation date. Coaches must have at least five years of experience with ACPS for eligibility. Teams are eligible ten years after their last accomplishment.

Submit a nomination HERE. The Alexandria Athletic Hall of Fame Advisory Committee encourages the nomination of those who participated in many sports, female teams, and coaches, and Parker-Gray High School alumni.

The committee, actively looking for members, will submit its recommendations from the nominations received to the Alexandria City School Board. To apply to join the HOF committee, click HERE.
