Founding Farmers Hosts Grand Opening in Alexandria March 12

ALEXANDRIA, VA-Founding Farmers, the restaurant known for its dishes made from scratch, will open a new location in Alexandria on Wednesday, March 12. The restaurant chain, which also has locations in DC, Tysons Corner, and Reston to name a few, now brings its inviting dining atmosphere to the Potomac Yard neighborhood (461 Swann Ave.).
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Founding Farmers to Alexandria,” said Dan Simons, co-founder of Farmers Restaurant Group. “We’ve got some fantastic new drinks and dishes that we can’t wait to share with our new neighbors in the Potomac Yard area. Opening day is just around the corner, and we’re counting down the days!”
The menu is expansive and contains choices like rotisserie chicken, fried chicken and waffles, farmhouse sushi, fresh salads and sandwiches, homemade pastas, premium seafood, steaks, and seasonal sides. Dessert options include scratch-made cakes, pies, and house-churned ice cream.
The large interior also houses a bakery and cafe. All food and drinks are made in-house. Pick up sweet treats, roasted coffee, and artisan chocolate. That’s not all. A bar will offer handcrafted cocktails made with award-winning proprietary spirits from Founding Spirits, their DC-based distillery.
In addition to its commitment to scratch cooking, Founding Farmers is dedicated to operating sustainably. A press release says, “The restaurant incorporates energy-efficient systems, composting, and innovative waste-reduction programs to minimize their environmental footprint.”
The restaurant’s interior design honors America’s family farms and days of the past while displaying playful modern art. Make your reservation HERE.
