Best of the West Free Festival Brings 50+ Vendors to Ben Brenman Park Saturday
The inaugural outdoor celebration of Alexandria's West End features food, music, family fun, local businesses, and community connections.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria’s West End is about to throw its biggest party yet.
The West End Business Association (WEBA) will host the inaugural Best of the West Festival on Saturday, June 6, from noon to 6 p.m. at Ben Brenman Park, marking the first outdoor festival ever organized by WEBA and the first outdoor festival dedicated to Alexandria’s West End.
Admission is free and open to all ages.
A New Tradition for the West End
“Our neighbors asked for an outdoor festival, and we delivered,” said WEBA President Mary Ann Burstein. “This event brings together the absolute best of Alexandria’s culture, commerce, and connection.”
More than 50 vendors will fill the park with food, shopping, entertainment, community organizations, and family activities. Visitors can cool off in a misting tent, enjoy live performances throughout the day, relax in the Port City Beer Garden, and explore new vehicles on display from presenting sponsor Passport Auto Group.
The festival is significantly larger than previous WEBA events, expanding from the organization’s former venue at Patrick Henry Recreation Center to the spacious grounds of Ben Brenman Park.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome everyone to the inaugural Best of the West End Festival,” Burstein said. “Your presence is what makes this festival a true reflection of our vibrant West End.”

Food, Music and Family Fun
The event showcases the remarkable diversity of businesses that make the West End unique. Festivalgoers can sample everything from BeeLiner Diner’s barbecue brisket to specialty Mediterranean salts and international flavors from Taste of Asia, while also discovering local retailers, artisans, service providers, nonprofits, and community organizations.
Live music and entertainment from local performers and student groups will keep the energy high throughout the afternoon, while families can enjoy interactive activities designed for all ages.
“With more than 50 vendors, live entertainment, great food, a beer garden, family activities, and beautiful weather in the forecast, we’re expecting a fantastic day,” Burstein said. “Whether you’re discovering a new favorite business or reconnecting with neighbors, there will be something for everyone.”
The festival is designed to showcase a part of Alexandria that often doesn’t receive the same visibility as Old Town or Del Ray, despite being home to a thriving and diverse business community.
“This is the first outdoor festival WEBA has ever organized and the first outdoor festival dedicated to the West End,” Burstein said. “It’s exciting to see our community come together on this scale.”

Powered by Community Support
The event is being coordinated by Burstein, WEBA Vice President James Lewis, Dayan Worku, and Marco Cooper, along with numerous volunteers and community partners.
An event of this size is only possible through the support of sponsors led by Passport Auto Group, the festival’s Platinum Sponsor. Gold sponsors include Tala Meds, Corcoran McEnearney, Cameron Café, and Port City Brewing Company. Additional support comes from Silver sponsors Iryna Babb and Allegra Marketing Print & Mail, along with Bronze sponsors Burke & Herbert Bank, CMIT Solutions of Alexandria, the Law Office of Mark Werblood, the City of Alexandria, and event partner Volunteer Alexandria.
“We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this vision a reality,” Burstein said. “An event of this scale is only possible because of the tremendous support from our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.”
Special recognition also goes to media partners The Zebra Press, ALXnow, and The Alexandria Brief for helping spread the word throughout Alexandria.
For residents who haven’t explored the West End recently, Saturday offers a chance to discover new businesses, enjoy local food and music, meet neighbors, and experience one of Alexandria’s fastest-growing and most dynamic communities.
