Rosie’s Tavern Coming to Del Ray This November

Alexandria, VA – The signs are down, the building has been repainted, and all the windows are blocked with brown paper. The one sign of life is the application for a liquor license. The tavern at 2018 Mt. Vernon Ave. is being developed by D. Jason Portlance, owner of the Del Ray Farmhouse Market + Garden at 1913 Mount Vernon Ave. and Del Ray Hardware at 2003 B Mount Vernon Ave.

Portlance is keeping the details close to the vest. After questioning the local Del Ray cognoscenti and a social media search, we found a proposed opening date of November 2026. More details will be shared as they come to light.
