ALEXANDRIA, VA – Earlier this morning, Visit Alexandria announced in an email that Alexandria is a nominee in the Cities category of Travel + Leisure magazine’s World’s Best survey. They encourage residents to vote. Voters will be entered to win a $15,000 getaway. (The location is not disclosed.)
Voting makes a difference. More than helping to have this city recognized by Travel + Leisure for the first time, it “help[s] to raise Alexandria’s national profile as a must-visit destination as our city works to recover from the ongoing impacts of COVID-19,” reads the email.
Voting is open now at tlworldsbest.com/vote. Deadline is midnight on Feb. 28. Visit Alexandria also asks voters to support local hotels such as The Alexandrian, Hyatt Centric Old Town, and Morrison House.
