FORT HUNTA, VA–During this three-course luncheon in the Botanical Room of the historic Cedar Knoll restaurant with a view of the Potomac and the Maryland shore beyond, George Washington will talk about the importance of the Potomac River to Mount Vernon, his vision of ultimately connecting the Potomac westward to the Ohio Valley, and how the location of the nation’s Capital on the banks of the Potomac was the centerpiece of his plan for regional, national, and personal prosperity. Participants will enjoy a menu of passed hors d’oeuvres, gingered carrot bisque, a choice among three entrees, and an assortment of miniature sweets.  Wine, iced tea, and soft drinks also will be served as you engage in conversation with General Washington about any aspect of his life and times.

Tickets are $119 per individual. For more details, click here.  To register, visit https://shop.alexandriava.gov/Events.aspx.
