ALEXANDRIA, VA – Saturday, May 20, Alexandria residents are invited to bring their kids out to local parks to celebrate the 13th Annual Kids to Parks Day. The event is an exploration of the outdoors organized by the National Park Trust.
Recognized in a recent City Council proclamation , it encourages youth to discover and explore our parks, learn about park stewardship, outdoor recreation, STEM, our country’s history, and its amazing national treasures.
Residents are encouraged to explore a city park they have yet to visit, play a game of tennis or pickleball, ride a bike there and discover the plants and wildlife that have made the park their habitat.
