ALEXANDRIA, VA – Cupcake is a 1-year-old female pup who is just as sweet and fun as her name. She’s a staff and volunteer favorite for many reasons at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA). One is her highly photogenic nature — specifically her grin and ears (which seem to have a mind of their own). She is always eager for a game of fetch or tug. She’s never met a toy she doesn’t like. When she’s done romping and running, she is ready for affection and attention. She’s a little lovebug and adores people. Cupcake is young and a bundle of energy. She would do best in a home that can be active with her. She’s just an all-around lovely girl who would make an excellent companion.
AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
