Krow Your Rights: Webinar Educates People with Disabilities and Advocates
The free event on April 23 covers home ownership and renting. Hosted by Brian McKenzie, Director of Training and Compliance at the Equal Rights Center

ALEXANDRIA, VA-People with disabilities are protected from discrimination under the Americans with Disibilities Act of 1990. Since April is Fair Housing Month, a special presentation is planned for those with disabilities and their advocates.
The free webinar, Know Your Rights: Navigating Housing Protections for People with Disabilities, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
During the session, Brian McKenzie, Director of Training and Compliance at the Equal Rights Center, will review housing rights, reasonable accommodations, and resources.
McKenzie will discuss the following:
- Fair Housing protections for people with disabilities and other protected classes
- How to request and receive reasonable accommodations
- Rights regarding assistance animals, accessible parking, and more
- Resources for addressing housing discrimination
