Fort Ward to Host Civil War Camp Day This Weekend

Experience living history on Saturday, June 8

ALEXANDRIA, VA – From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, visitors to Fort Ward Museum can learn what it was like for soldiers and civilians during the Civil War. The yearly event features reenactors around camp settings and in the historic fort.

Fort Ward is the best preserved of the Union forts that comprised the Civil War Defenses of Washington. The museum features a number of events throughout the year.
