Alexandria, VA – With the official closing of its pop-up store in Fairfax Corner on June 25, King Arthur Baking Company, a 100% employee-owned company, will be opening a store and school in Alexandria at 617 King St. this fall. Like the pop-up, they will be offering a range of their respected products including ingredients, mixes, tools, kitchen appliances, gifts, and classes. The Vermont-based company has one other store in Norwich, VT.

Classes at the Norwich school include baking ciabatta bread, pizza, biscuits, cakes, cookies, and more. Alexandria can expect the same level of quality and community service as their flagship store. According to Karen Colberg, Chief Executive Officer, and Suzanne McDowell, Vice President of Impact, “At King Arthur, we’re guided by a long tradition of baking with purpose. For more than two centuries, care has been at the center of everything we do — care for our craft, for the people who bake with us, and for the world we all share.”
