Alexandria, VA – Last month, Renée C. Gage welcomed friends and family to her photography studio in Hollin Hall to express her gratitude and commemorate her 25th anniversary milestone. The celebration featured live music by Dan Murray, whose golden voice filled the courtyard, and beautiful floral arrangements from Helen Olivia. Guests enjoyed treats from The Cut Butchery, Fabled Ice Cream, Hollin Hall Pastries, and Ellen Woods Bakes.

Reflecting on her 25-year journey, Gage described her work as “a beautiful story of all of the places I have lived and the many amazing people I have met along the way.”

Her business has spanned nine locations over the past quarter-century, with each move bringing new opportunities to connect with and give back to the communities where her military family settled. Photography became a way to build relationships and establish roots in each new place.

From her first exhibition in Maine to having her images displayed in the Capitol, Gage has continued to expand her artistic reach through exhibitions across the United States and internationally. Each new project has offered fresh inspiration, fueling a lifelong curiosity and dedication to her craft.

Over the years, Gage has explored a range of artistic disciplines and techniques, including fine art photography, oil portraiture, heirlooms, infrared photography, and encaustic. These evolving interests have deepened her appreciation for photography and its ability to tell stories, preserve meaningful moments, and connect people across places and generations.

Gage remains grateful for the communities that have supported her work throughout the years. Looking forward to the next 25 years and beyond, she continues to find inspiration both in the world around her and behind the camera.
