Alexandria Residents Invited to Join RiverRenew Advisory Committee

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria Renew Enterprises (AlexRenew), the city’s wastewater authority, is seeking nine committed residents to serve on the 2021-2022 RiverRenew Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG).

RiverRenew is a major infrastructure project aiming to achieve cleaner, healthier waterways in Alexandria.It is the largest infrastructure project in Alexandria history.

The SAG, established through City Council Resolution 21-0163,  will monitor the progress of tunnel construction.

AlexRenew is seeking a balanced and diverse group of citizens representing neighborhoods, businesses, and various interests who commit to being active and engaged in the stakeholder process.

Those chosen to serve are expected to complete a one-year term, beginning in January 2021.
