ALEXANDRIA, VA-Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) will perform its spring ballet, “Coppelia,” Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial (101 Callahan Dr.). Noon and 5 pm shows are scheduled for both days.

“This ballet entertains audiences of all ages and serves as a wonderful complement to the timeless charm of classic fairy tales,” the school’s Artistic Director Jacqueline Doherty told The Zebra Press. “It’s an introduction to the historic world of ballet, showcasing a range of narratives beyond the traditional ‘princess’ stories.”

“Coppelia” is a love story containing a bit of mischief. Reality and fantasy are blurred in the performance, where dancers bring the scenes to life.
