“Vintage Affair” Market in Old Town Alexandria, November 18, to Include 30 Vendors, Cider Bar, Music, and Local Eats

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Enjoy early holiday shopping for one-of-a-kind antiques and vintage, re-purposed, recycled, and handcrafted items at Canal Center Plaza in North Old Town Alexandria this Saturday, November 18, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. plus live music, great food, and a fabulous location.

Over 30 vintage and vintage-inspired vendors will be joined by live jazz music by DC-based Swingology, and local eats Chalkboard BBQ, Scuttlebutt Bake Shop, Welle Made Co., and TOMOI Bakery will set up in Canal Center Plaza, which showcases beautiful water features and landscaped grounds currently decorated for the holidays.

The event is title-sponsored by Lost Boy Cider, which will have a mobile cider bar set up on site.

Located in Alexandria near the Eisenhower Corridor at 317 Hooffs Run Drive, Lost Boy Cider was opened in 2019 when Tristan Wright, a local Del Ray guy and high-level commercial banker, fell in love with cider and turned caution to the wind to learn everything he could about cider-making.  Numerous awards later, and after making a big splash in the cider community, Lost Boy Cider is the only urban cidery within Northern Virginia.

Apples are sourced from the Shenandoah Valley and the juice is shipped up from Glaize orchards of Winchester, Virginia. All cider is handcrafted on site in Alexandria with little to no intervention. “This produces unfiltered, unpasteurized, gluten free and sugar free cider,” says Wright.

“Canal Center Plaza is one of the most recent additions to Old Town North, and one of the most beautiful venues because of it’s sheer magnificence located right on the River,” says Pat Miller, an Alexandria Living Legend who is helping organize and promote the event. “Plus it has parking! And for only $5.00 for the whole day on weekends!” she adds enthusiastically.

Canal Center Plaza houses multiple offices including the much-talked about elevated restaurant, Jula’s on the Potomac, that recently underwent a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation giving diners unmatched panoramic views of the Potomac River, MGM National Harbor, and the U.S. Capitol.

There is underground parking for $5 or nearby street parking. This event is rain or shine. Dogs are welcome.
