ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Aces are headed back to the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Championship Series for the fourth time in five years, following a decisive sweep of the Olney Cropdusters in the semifinals.

The best-of-three championship series begins Sunday, July 27, on the road, with Game 2 returning to Frank Mann Field in Alexandria on Monday, July 28 at 6:30 PM. Fans are encouraged to turn out in full force to support the hometown team in what promises to be the biggest game of the season.

Fresh off a strong regular season finish at 23-13, the Aces are looking to bring the league trophy back to Alexandria for the first time since their 2022 title run. Backed by a deep bullpen, a potent lineup, and a passionate home crowd, the team enters the finals with confidence and momentum.

Their opponent: the Bethesda Big Train, the league’s top seed with a 27-9 record and a reputation for postseason dominance. It’s a matchup worthy of a championship, and Monday night’s game is expected to draw a capacity crowd.

Tickets are available online at www.alexandriaaces.org or at the gate:

  • $7 for adults
  • $3 for children under 12

Fans can also enjoy the full ballpark experience with hot food and cold drinks from the concession stand, featuring grilled burgers, hot dogs, snacks, and more.

“This team has shown incredible heart and determination all season,” said Aces President Frank Fannon. “This team has fought hard all season, and now we have a chance to win it all—right here in Alexandria. We need our fans to pack Frank Mann Field and give us that home field advantage!”

Media are welcome to cover the event. Interview opportunities with players, coaches, and team officials can be arranged upon request.
