Music News: Bluesman Michael Tash Livestreaming March 1 on the Living on Music Show

ALEXANDRIA, VA – If you are in need of a bigtime blues music fix, you won’t want to miss this up-close and personal interview with stellar local blues guitarist Michael Tash on Emmy award-winning host Steve Houk’s weekly music show, “Living on Music,” livestreaming this Monday, March 1st at 7pm on the Z-TV Network.

Sprinkled between the engaging conversation about Tash’s musical journey will be memorable archival clips of him and his longtime band Bad Influence playing all over the country, as well as Michael’s fascinating career reminiscences, and more.

For almost 25 years, Tash has been a fixture on the East Coast blues circuit, performing with Bad Influence at numerous clubs, outdoor gigs and festivals. Tash was recently inducted into the Northern Virginia Blues Hall Of Fame.

In the early 80’s, Tash met DC guitarist Steve Jacobs and discovered the blues, and in 1988 they started Bad Influence. Since then, the band has been nominated by the Washington Area Music Association as Best Blues Band, Blues Instrumentalist and Blues Vocalist, and in 2002 won the Wammie for Best Blues Recording. Tash also plays with another blues-driven band, New Blue Soul with another notable local blues performer. Mary Shaver.
