After a postponement due to the hurricane scare in September, artists and friends finally gathered on October 25th at the Durant Arts Center for the opening reception of the 32nd Annual Young at Art exhibition. The juried art show for artists 55 and better is jointly organized and sponsored by Senior Services of Alexandria and the Goodwin House Foundation. The exhibit runs through November 8.

In her first-time-ever entry Julie Halperson took home a second place award for her “Reflection Selfie” photograph on Metro. Here she poses with her mother, Nina Tisara. Photo by Steven Halperson
