Noah Lyles Named to TIME 100 Most Influential People List

Alexandria, VA – Noah Lyles, an Alexandria graduate of T.C. Williams High School (now Alexandria City High School), has been named to the TIME 100 Most Influential People—the latest honor in a career that has made him one of the most dominant sprinters in the world.
Lyles is the reigning Olympic champion in the 100 meters, winning gold in Paris 2024, and has also earned bronze medals in the 200 meters at both the 2024 and 2020 Games. An eight-time World Champion, he cemented his global dominance with a sweep of the 100m, 200m, and 4×100 relay at the 2023 World Championships.
Embracing the spotlight, Lyles has confidently claimed the title of the “world’s fastest man,” a statement he backed up on the track with a personal best of 9.79 seconds in the 100 meters.
A Living Legends of Alexandria honoree and recipient of the Key to the City, Lyles continues to represent Alexandria on the world stage.
