Alexandria, VA – Floriana, an Italian restaurant in Washington, DC, is expanding with a new location in Old Town Alexandria in the space vacated by Virginia’s Darling at 277 S. Washington St. The restaurant is expected to open in late spring or early summer. The plans include seating for approximately 140 to 160 guests in the former restaurant space, patio, and the building atrium. Expect breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings including many of the favorite Italian items of their DC location in Dupont Circle.

Floriana’s DC location opened in 1979 in Dupont Circle serving Northern Italian dishes like short rib agnolotti, lamb gnocchi, and Tuscan seared scallops. Plans for the Old Town location include pizza and a raw bar.

According to their website, “We pride ourselves on offering an immersive dining experience that transports patrons to the culinary landscapes of Northern Italy. Our restaurant is a celebration of tradition and flavor, blending time-honored recipes with a modern touch.”
