ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) and NOVA Parks have teamed up to ask for donations of much-needed pet supplies. They are calling the donation drive “Share the Love” in honor of Valentine’s Day.

AWLA has posted two wish lists on its website: one for Amazon, the other for Chewy.  Simply click the links in the previous sentence to see what items are needed. The item you purchase can be dropped off at 4001 Eisenhower Ave. on Sunday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Your donation will help keep pets safe and in homes where they are loved.

As a thank-you for donating, individuals and families will receive $1 off admission to Ice Skating at Cameron Run, where Ice & Lights is held every holiday season. Ice skating is open through February on weekends and holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  To get the discount, enter the code AWLA23  when purchasing tickets online for this Sunday.

Purchase tickets HERE. Regular price is $12.50 per ticket. Price includes skate rental.
